BREAKING: Punta Gorda residents burn tires, demand justice following shooting death of Dona Gonzalez

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Residents in Punta Gorda set tires on fire on Saturday morning blocking a road in protest and to demand justice for the shooting death of Dona Gonzalez.

According to police reports, Gonzalez and her common law husband Gustavo Mendez were leaving a wake and heading home when a lone gunman approached and shot them.

Gonzalez died shortly after.

Mendez is hospitalized receiving treatment for the injuries.

Police are reportedly seeking a suspect from San Antonio, Toledo.
