Prime Minister and Belizeans in diaspora celebrate Belize’s Independence Day in Dallas, Texas

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On September 17, 2023, Prime Minister John Briceño joined Belizeans in Dallas, Texas as they celebrated Belize’s 42^nd anniversary of Independence.

“The spirit of nationalism brimmed as Belizeans abroad in Dallas, Texas celebrated our 42 years as a sovereign nation. 

I met Belizeans and friends of Belize… we reminisced, we celebrated and we discussed the Diaspora and development for the nation we cherish,” the Prime Minister said.

Belizeans in the United States features stalls proudly displaying Belize’s national symbols, cultural heritage and food.

The Prime Minister extended Independence Day wishes to all Belizeans and persons with Belizean heritage living abroad.
