Belize Weather: Mix of sunshine and showers

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A relatively moist airflow prevails according to the National Meteorological Service, supporting occasional showery activity. Today’s forecast is for sunny skies with a few cloudy intervals and partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop mainly along coastal areas this morning, moving inland by afternoon and then redeveloping over the south and some coastal areas tonight into Wednesday morning.

High temperatures peak at 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 95 degrees inland and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 82 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly to southeasterly at five to 15 knots and sea state is light chop.

Tides are high as of 7:05 this morning. A low tide follows at 2:11 this afteroon, followed by a high tide at 8:03 this evening. The sun sets at 5:34 this evening and rises at 5:44 Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday, there will be a few cloudy spells and early morning showers and isolated thunderstorms, with conditions becoming hot and mostly dry thereafter.
