Ladyville-area man dies after going down in sea waters

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 41-year-old Wilbert Clark of Vista Del Mar between Belize City and Ladyville which occurred late Monday afternoon.

At about 3:30 p.m., the deceased was along with other family members and friends socializing and swimming at the sea in the Vista Del Mar area, when they noticed the deceased went under water.

He was taken out of the water and CPR was done, and when Clark did not respond, he was rushed to the medical center at Price Barracks, Ladyville. After further CPR attempts, he was pronounced dead at 4:10 p.m. There were no signs of physical injury observed.

The body of Wilbert Alfred Clark was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital morgue awaiting a post mortem examination. Investigations continue.
