Belize Marketing & Development Corporation invites restaurant, hotel personnel in Orange Walk to session promoting use of fruit pulp to create exotic drinks

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Marketing & Development Corporation (BNDC) is holding an information session on how to make exotic drinks using fruit pulp at its branch in Orange Walk on Friday.

The session aimed specifically at hotels and restaurants personnel is promoting the use of fruit pulp, such as pitahaya (dragon fruit), mango, and soursop, to make exotic drinks they can introduce to their clientele.

The exotic drinks session will be held at the BMDC Orange Walk Branch at the San Lorenzo Road from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

BMDC said the session will cover the following topics: Introduction to Exotic Fruit Pulps, Creative Mixology Techniques Showcasing Unique Fruit-Based Beverage Recipes, Exploring Market Opportunities, Questions and Answer segment, and a Networking Session

“This session is designed to provide valuable insights and expertise on utilizing fruit pulp to craft unique and refreshing beverages that can elevate your restaurant or hotel’s offerings,” the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE) said in a statement on social media.

“Learn from experts in the field and connect with fellow industry professionals.

“The BMDC personnel looks forward to your presence at this event and believe that it will be a valuable addition to your knowledge and business ventures.”

BMDC said it has sent out invitations to hotels and restaurants already but said anyone interested can call Ms Westby at 672-1545.

“Come and enjoy different exotic drinks, that can help your establishment offer exotic drinks options to your clientele,” the BMDC said.

“Your partnership with our corporation will assist our local farmers with a sustainable agriculture industry.”

The session is part of the drive by MAFSE and BMDC to find markets for products that they have been pushing for farmers to produce.
