Grandfather charged for raping 15-year-old granddaughter, possibly getting her pregnant

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A man has been charged in court for allegedly raping his 15-year-old granddaughter in 2019 and is suspected of impregnating the minor!

He appeared in the High Court on Monday before Justice Candace Nanton. He is accused of raping the 15-year-old in June 2019. The incident wasn’t reported until November of that year, by which time the girl was already five months pregnant.

The case yesterday was adjourned as the prosecution has ordered a paternity test to determine if the child is indeed for the grandfather.
