Taiwan donates over US $792,000 for renovation of National Assembly

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On December 4, 2023, parliamentarians of the National Assembly of Belize officially recognized a donation from Taiwan.

The donation will be used toward substantial renovations of the National Assembly building in Belmopan.

The Government and people of Taiwan have committed to a donation of US$792,125.30, which will be used to modernize the infrastructure of National Assembly building.

Signatories of the record of donation of the grant included Valerie Woods, Speaker of the House of Representatives; Lily Li-Wen Hsu, Ambassador of Taiwan and Collet Montejo, Vice-President of the Senate.
