By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Supplies Control Unit (SCU) in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise informed that the first round of establishment inspections for compliance with provisions of the new Supplies Control (Prices) Regulations were carried out between September 1st and November 3rd 2023.
During this period, a total of 112 retail outlets were inspected countrywide.
A total of 59 establishments were issued tickets for violations of the regulations.

A second round of inspections commenced November 4, 2023, and is on-going.
The SCU says that results of the second round of inspections will be shared with the public in mid-January 2024.
