Under-20 Belize Men’s National Team play 2nd friendly match against Guatemala on Thursday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under-20 Belize Men’s National Team (U20 BMNT) are playing their second friendly match against the U20 Guatemala Men’s National (U20 GMNT) on Thursday, December 14, at 3:00 pm at the Guatemalan Football Federation’s High Performance Center (Centro de Alto Rendimiento – CAR) in Guatemala City.

On Tuesday the U20 BMNT lost 5-0 in the first match against the U20 GMNT at the Pinula Contreras Stadium in Santa Carina Pinula. Guatemala scored in the 19’, 32’, 35’, 42’, and 89’.

As opposed to the artificial turf at the Pinula Contreras Stadium, Thursday Match at the CAR will be on natural grass.

The U20 BMNT is preparing for the CONCACAF U20 Men’s Championship Qualifiers to be held in Nicaragua in February/March 2024.

Last month, the U20 BMNT played two games against Honduras in San Pedro Sula on Tuesday, November 28, and in Siguatepeque on Thursday, November 30, losing 1-0 and 3-0 respectively.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Dale Pelayo, the 24-man U20 BMNT return on Friday, December 15.
