Manchester City run over Fluminense 4-0 to clinch first FIFA Club World Cup

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: England’s Manchester City win their first ever FIFA Club World Cup demolishing South American champions Fluminense of Brazil 4-0 in the Final at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday.

Julián Alvarez was the star of the Final netting two goals, in the 1^st and 88^th minutes, and an assist providing a superb cross for Phil Foden to send the ball into the net in the 72^nd. In between, Fluninense captain Nino scored an own goal in the 27^th to put Manchester City up 2-0.

Though for Man City, the title is their first, their coach Pep Guardiola won it for the fourth time. Previously, he won the FIFA Club World Cup twice with Barcelona 2009 and 2011 and once with Bayern Munich in 2013.

Egypt’s Al Ahly won third place beating Japan’s Urawa Reds 4-2.
