Football Federation of Belize to approve $4.125 million budget at XVIII Ordinary Congress on Saturday

The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) expects to have its $4.125 million budget approved at the XVIII Ordinary Congress on Saturday at Cahal Pech Village Resort in San Ignacio, during the FFB’s XVIII Ordinary Congress which got underway at 9:00 am.

FFB Secretary General Earl Jones said the budget, which is the same as in 2023, is funded in the following manner: 75.1 % by FIFA, 21.6 % by Concacaf, and 3.3 % by other sources.

According to that breakdown FIFA contributes approximately $3.098 million, Concacaf gives 0$0.891 million, and the FFB has to find the other $136,000. Jones said the FFB finances the 3.3% through the Belize Tourism Board, media rights for its Belize National Teams broadcasts, and advertising through agreements with companies such as TNC and the National Bank.

Sergio Chuc is expected to be reelected as president of the biggest sports association in the country at the FFB Ordinary Congress.
