By Aaron Humes: Police tonight have announced the arrest of Jimmy Rojas, a 27-year-old Belizean Maintenance Worker of Belize City for the crime of Murder.
Rojas is accused of the murder of Jose Matus, 45, which occurred on January 12, 2024.
Matus, originally from Corozal but who had a residence in the City, had just dropped off two women in the Fabers Road area when he was gunned down with .223 and nine-millimetre weaponry.
Police have stated that the motive for the attack on Matus, who had been targeted at least once before, was related to drugs.
