Two Corozal men remanded for attempted murder of Orlando Vasquez

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Two Corozal men, Marlon Sanker, 19, and Eric Andrew Rancharan, 21; have been remanded to the Belize Central Prison for the attempted murder of Orlando Vasquez on January 20.

Sanker and Rancharan appeared in court represented by attorney Leslie Hamilton and were each read a single charge of attempted murder. No plea was taken and bail was denied.

Vasquez reported to police that on January 20 he was inside his house when he was called outside his home by Sanker and Rancharan. When he went outside, Sanker reportedly opened fire at him and shot him. Police recovered several bullet shells from the scene and reviewed surveillance footage before making an arrest.
