Man fined $30 for drinking Mine beer in public

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man was fined $30 in court last Thursday after he was caught drinking a Mine beer in public.

Jose Salvador, 28, appeared in court unrepresented and quickly pleaded guilty to a charge of drinking in public. For his plea, he was fined $25 plus $5 cost of court.

According to police, Salvador was seen walking along Mahogany Street on February 25 drinking a Mine beer when he was stopped and detained for drinking in public.
