Prime Minister thanks Belizeans for exercising democratic right to Vote; thanks all candidates and supporters

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Prime Minister John Briceno has extended gratitude to all Belizeans who exercised their democratic right in the March 6 Municipal Elections.

“Also, I thank all Belizeans for once again ensuring we have free, fair and peaceful elections. It is a national pride that our country continues to be an oasis of political peace.

Second, I thank all candidates and the related political parties for stepping forward to serve our people and nation, as well as for their active participation in our democratic process.

Third, I thank all the parties’ supporters and campaigners for their continued participation in our political system,” the Prime Minister said.

In addition, the Prime Minister recognized public officers who manage and provide the oversight for our elections.

“It is indeed a badge of honor that our nation relies on our public service who answers that call of service with a high degree of competence and fairness.

I congratulate all winners from the political parties.  I especially congratulate our PUP slates who garnered yet again the resounding support of our voters. The work continues for our people and the transformation of nation and lives of our people,” PM Briceno added.

“Long live a peaceful Belize,” he said.
