Belize Weather: Cooling down

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Generally fair and warm conditions prevail. Over the next 24 hours, according to the National Meteorological Service, skies will be sunny with a few cloudy spells. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy becoming cloudy at times. Little to no rainfall is expected today over most areas, except for thunderstorms developing over inland areas during the afternoon or evening. Tonight, and tomorrow morning, expect a few showers and isolated thunderstorms to develop over most areas.

Average high temperatures forecast today will be 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 95 degrees in inland areas, and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 78 degrees along the coast, 68 degrees inland, and 62 degrees in the hills.

Winds are northeasterly at 10 to 15 knots, and sea state is choppy. A small craft warning is in effect for gusty winds and rough seas. Operators of small crafts should remain in safe harbor.

Tides will be high at 12:05 this afternoon and low at 6:18 this evening.

The sun sets at 6:08 this evening and rises at 5:39 on Friday morning.

Friday and Friday night sees cloudy intervals along with a few coastal showers.
