Belize’s Heads of Mission tour factories in Spanish Lookout

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Friday, April 12, 2024, Belize’s Heads of Mission engaged in an informative briefing on the exciting work taking place in the Ministry of Agriculture.

Minister Jose Abelardo Mai shared new developments and the Heads of Missions also toured factories in Spanish Lookout.

They toured the Quality Poultry and Western Dairies factories to experience the productive sector at work. 

Belize is producing Chicken, Red Kidney Beans, Black Eye Peas, Rice, Corn, Cheese, ice cream, and milk in these factories for both domestic consumption and the export market. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade expressed its commitment to working with our productive sector across the country to identify and engage with new markets and companies for increased export opportunities. 

“This is how we can grow and develop Belize’s economy and ensure a better quality of life for our people,” the Ministry said.
