One charged for shooting in Santa Elena

BMG: As a result of an incident in which 45-year-old Calvin Leslie was shot to the shoulder, 27-year-old Charles Leslie of Unitedville in the Cayo District, was arrested and charged for the offenses of “Attempted Murder”, “Use of deadly means of harm”, “Kept firearm without a gun license”, “Kept ammunition without a gun license” and “Handling Stolen Goods”.

On Thursday, November 5th San Ignacio Police on patrol in Santa Elena Town saw two male persons struggling on the ground in a yard and one of them yelled for help. Officers quickly approached the individuals and noticed that one of them, Calvin Leslie, was bleeding from a gunshot wound to his right shoulder and the other, Charles Leslie, had a black Smith and Wesson pistol containing five live rounds in his left hand.

He was then arrested for the offenses listed and it was later discovered that the gun was stolen and belonged to Cesar Pulido.
