Teen girl is pregnant; police investigates carnal knowledge case

The practice of grown men sexually abusing young girls continues; and today the first reported incident is of a 14 year old girl who is now pregnant.

The abuse dates back to November of last year; however the repot was just made on Tuesday morning of this week.

The girl, accompanied by her mother, went to the police station in Corozal town yesterday morning to make a report of the incident.

The girl told police that on November 10, 2013, she went to the house of a man she knows and they engaged in sexual intercourse.

At the end of November, the girl reported that she told her mother that she had not seen her period for that month.

The 14 year old complained of feeling sick and she confessed to her mother that she had sexual intercourse with a man whom she described as being her boyfriend of 8 months.

A medical examination was conducted which not only certified that the girl is sexually active but that he is 11 weeks pregnant.

Police investigations continue.
