The students of Sacred Heart College in San Ignacio town have presented a certificate of appreciation to media personality Patrick E. Jones.

Mr. Jones was one of several persons from the community who were invited to the annual Career Fair for students of Second Form at Sacred Heart College.

During the Career Fair, the presenters gave talks about their respecting careers/profession and fielded questions from the students.

Mr. Jones gave a presentation on journalism and the media and he invited the young people to use the “new media”, those being the social media to enhance their learning and for information sharing.

The students were also invited to become contributors to Mr. Jones’ online media platform and many said they would.

The certificate of appreciation was presented to Mr. Jones by the president of Class 2F Nadeine Orellano.

According to its website, Sacred Heart College “is a Catholic, co-educational institution, founded in 1960. The College serves the communities of San Ignacio, Santa Elena, and Benque Viejo Del Carmen and surrounding villages in the Cayo District of BELIZE, Central America.”
