Therefore, keep the sweater and wind-breakers handy. The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is or generally cloudy skies and windy conditions.
A few showers and some periods of rain are expected in the south and along some coastal areas.
Winds or the open sea and along the coast will be northerly to northwesterly at 15-25 knots with occasional higher gusts.
The sea state will be rough.
Operators of small craft, please note that a Small Craft Warning by the Belize Weather Bureau remains in effect for the coastal waters of Belize.
High temperatures this afternoon will be around 72 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a cold 63 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills.
Low temperatures tonight will reach 66 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 63 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a cold 59 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.
The tides: there will be a low tide at 7:22 pm. A high tide follows at 1:37 am on Friday.
The sunset is at 5:16 pm. Moon set is at 10:33 pm. The sun will rise at 6:05 am on Friday.
The extended forecast, valid through to Saturday afternoon is for similar weather conditions to prevail.
