Thursday, September 24th, 2015. BMG: Turmoil is once again stirring at Faith Nazarene Primary School after Principal Policarpia Pech’s application for long leave and a transfer were both declined by the Teaching Services Commission, voiding the agreement that was reached by the parents, teachers and education officials.
The problem has now been reincarnated and the Ministry of Education issued a press release in regards to the matter, stating that children have the right to quality education but parents should not resort to measures that do not recognize the rights of others.
The release conveyed a stern warning to parents about the laws of our country, stating that it is mandatory for children of school age to attend school and parents who do not want their children to attend Faith Nazarene, cannot withhold them from attending classes but should find another school and ensure that their child gets an education.
“The Ministry calls on all parties involved to give due process an opportunity to take its course.”
