Valencia bus driver charged for careless driving

By BBN Staff: A bus driver of Valencia’s Bus Company has been charged by the Department of Transport in Belmopan for careless driving.

Christino Rodriguez appeared yesterday at the Belize City’s Magistrate Court where he plead guilty to the offence of “Drove Motor omnibus in contravention of Road Service permit” and was fined $500 plus $5 for the cost of the court.

If Rodriguez doesn’t pay the fine, he will serve 6 months in prison.

The Department of Transport informs the public that all traffic related offense encountered by the Department will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The public is advised to comply with the Traffic Laws.
