By BBN Staff: On Saturday, April 8th 2017, the annual CEO Caucus Cancer Ride will take place.
The ride’s route will run from Mile 25 on the George Price Highway to the National Agriculture and Trade Show Grounds in Belmopan.
According to a government of Belize press release, participants are asked to arrive at the staging area at the Sanitary Landfill junction at 6:00 a.m., where registration and opening ceremony activities will take place.
The ride is scheduled to start at 6:30 a.m and participants are encouraged to be on time.
The release also says that the Coast Guard and Belize City Council will each be providing a bus to transport riders from Belize City to Mile 25 and that the Coast Guard will also be providing a truck to transport bicycles from Belize City to the starting point.
The buses and truck are scheduled to leave the Western Avenue Bus Stop at 5:00 a.m. sharp and will depart the Show Grounds to Belize City at 1:00 p.m.
NEMO will be providing a truck to transport bicycles from Belmopan to Mile 25 and the truck will be leaving NEMO Headquarters at 5:00 a.m. sharp.
Cheers Restaurant and St. Matthews Government School will be the two designated rest stops along the way.
Riders are asked to adhere to the traffic officers instructions, rest at the designated stops, and await clearance from the Traffic and Police Departments.
Upon arrival at the National Agriculture and Trade Show Grounds, the riders will enter the premises through Gate 3 and vehicular traffic will enter the premises through Gate 2.
All participants are invited to attend the Closing Ceremony and the Health Fair at the conclusion of the ride.
