Dangriga residents concerned about murky canal

By BBN Staff: Some concerned residents living in the Rivas estate area of Dangriga contacted BBN to explain the problem they are having with water settling in their yards.

According to the residents, the canal in the area is being filled up and that is causing all the murky water to settle in their lands. Residents told us that the canal has not been dredged in years.

The residents say that they are concerned because the water is also bringing debris along with it and is dangerous for their health and the health of their children.

They are making a plea to the relevant authorities to look into this situation.
