Police detain rape suspect this morning

BBN Staff: Belmopan Police have detained a man for raping a woman.

According to police reports, this morning around 1, a young woman in her twenties reported to authorities that while traversing the road that leads from Cohune Walk to Roaring Creek Junction, she was raped by a man.

Officer commanding Belmopan Police, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett, informed the media that the suspect is in police custody.

Police investigations continue.
