18-year-old student raped in Valley of Peace of Road

By BBN Staff: Belmopan police are investigating a case of rape reported by an 18-year old student.

The student reported to police that she was hiking from Belmopan to Camalote Village on Thursday night, when she got picked up by a man on a motorcycle.

She went on to say that the man turned into the Valley of Peace Road, took her to a dark area and raped her.

When he was finished, he drove her out of the area and left her in the vicinity of West Star Gas Station.

Police say that a medical examination confirms that the young girl was carnally known, and that they are investigating the issue.
