Tensions heightened at Belize-Guatemala western border?

t the Belize- Guatemala western border were heightened as members of the Belize Defense Force (BDF) were deployed to the Belize Custom’s area.

According to a local media report from Guatemala, BDF soldiers were located inside the adjacency zone between Belize and Guatemala at the Western border and were “intimidating Guatemalan citizens in no man’s land.”

However, a source told BBN that Belizean authorities were ordered to remove motorcycles from inside the Belize Customs area.

The Guatemalan media outlet is requesting that Guatemalan authorities respond to the area.
