13-year-old minor raped in Santa Elena Town

BBN Staff:  Police are investigating a rape incident in Santa Elena Town.

According to police, on June 13, 2018, San Ignacio police went to the Santa Cruz area in Santa Elena Town and found a 13 year old female minor inside a house in the company of a man.

The minor told police that she was raped by the man on June 10, 2018.

A medical examination was conducted on the minor and it confirmed that she was indeed raped.

The man has since been detained pending charges.
