Belize City man dies after being shot to the neck

BBN Staff: Emerson Talbert, 25, died this morning around 10:00, after being admitted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) around midnight with a gunshot wound to the neck.

BBN had  previously reported that Talbert was at a friend’s house on Cemetery Lane playing video games with two other men when a gunman entered through the front door and fired a single shot in his direction.

He was was then rushed to the hospital in a critical condition.

Police say Talbert was the intended target, however, there are no suspects at this time.

Police investigations are ongoing.
