Over 35,000 Belizeans have Re-registered

BBN Staff: The Elections and Boundaries Department today issued an update on the ongoing re-registration exercise for the period July 8-14.

Registration Centers continue to be open in all 31 electoral divisions country-wide to facilitate the acceptance of applications for the registration of electors.

During the period, 19,281 applications have been accepted, therefore the total number of applications received as at July 14, 2018 is 35,951.

This total shows a slight increase in the number of persons applying to be registered.

The public is being reminded that their application for registration as an elector will be accepted, as long as they are in the line at the designated time for the closure of the Centers.

The Department encourages all qualified persons to participate in the re-registration exercise, especially at this time when additional Registration Centers are open to facilitate the process.
