By BBN Staff: Two more Belizean power-lifters bring home Gold and Bronze from regional competition

The Belize Power-lifting Association today informed that three Belizeans participated in the 16th North American Regional Powerlifting Championship competition in Mexico city, Mexico.

Breaking Belize News reported on Kaylon Godoy, who won Gold in the 120kg Men’s open category.

We are pleased to inform of two more Belizean power-lifters that participated in the competition.

Ryan Usher earned a Gold medal in the 59 kg Men’s Open category and Khalid Usher received bronze in the 93kg Men’s Junior category.

The association is delighted at the performance of the Belizean athletes and congratulated them. “The Association could not be any more thrilled at the results and we share in the athletes’ joy and victory. We hope that this win opens larger dialogue about power-lifting in Belize. Congratulations to Ryan, Khalid, and Kaylon. You represented us well and we could not be more proud,” the association said.

Furthermore, the association thanked all sponsors that made it possible for the athletes to compete.
