By BBN Staff: A fire on Holy Emmanuel Street (often referred to as “Gungulung”) in Belize City has displaced two families.
They are the Davis/Garnett families.
BBN understands that sometime around 1 a.m. yesterday the residents woke up to the fire.
It was too late to save anything but their lives.
With two homes burnt to the ground, three adults and 9 children have no place to call home.
The family suspects the fire, which totaled to a loss of $70,000 was an act of arson.
According to police, that is the angle investigators are also taking.
Those wishing to assist the family can visit the fruit stall which is at the end of Holy Immanuel Street.
