2-year-old rushed to hospital after canoe capsizes in river

BBN Staff: A two-year-old was rushed to the San Ignacio community hospital this morning after the canoe he was in with his family capsized in the river.

According to reports, David Landero of Esperanza, Cayo was in a canoe with his family and crossing them to the other side of the river, when it capsized.

The infant submerged but was quickly taken out and transported to the hospital.
