Man survives gunshot to the neck

By BBN Staff: A Belize city man is recovering at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) after being shot to the neck last night.

Police say that around 9:15 p.m. yesterday Osbert Gentle, 33, was in front of his house on Lake view Street when he heard two loud bangs. Following the sounds, he felt a burning sensation to the neck and realized he had been shot.

He is listed as stable at the KHMH. It is unknown at this time if he was the intended target. Police are investigating the matter.
