Machete wielding man chops three villagers in San Roman

By BBN Staff: Police are investigating a chopping incident that occurred on Monday night in San Roman, Stann Creek.

Around 6:30 p.m., Victor Tzub and Adan Melgar were at home in San Roman when a man known to them, approached them and chopped Melgar to his head and Tzub to his face and head.

The machete wielding man then went to the home of Benjamin Hul and chopped him on his left palm.

All three men were taken to the Independence Poly Clinic for medical treatment.

Tzub and Hul were later taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for further medical treatment.

Authorities have detained one person pending charges.
