Belize Coast Guard Lieutenant receives Honor Graduate Award at US training center

By BBN Staff: Belizean Lieutenant, Alma Pinelo was honored with the Honor Graduate award yesterday in Virginia.

Pinelo has successfully completed the International Maritime Officer Course at the US Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, Virginia.

The mission of the training center is to “Forge Today’s Force to Execute Tomorrow’s Mission.”

The official website of the Yorktown Coast Guard training center informs that it has created a first class working and learning environment for trainees.

Pinelo is the first Belizean to have received this prestigious award.

Pinelo’s name and country, Belize, will now be enshrined into the Honor Graduates Hall of Fame.
