Summer Tourism in Belize

The San Ignacio area now have numerous beautiful recreation spots…grossly underutilized during the “summer months”…and which could attract much more Belizean tourists in their own country…Belizean Summer Happy Hour ALL Day!

There is Cahal Pech Village Resort, San Ignacio Resort Hotel and iguana conservation project, Ka’ana, Chaa Creek Cottages and butterfly farm, Black Rock Resort, DuPlooys Resort and botanic garden, Midas Resort, Log Cabins Resort, Rumors Resort, The Aguada, Crystal Paradise, Rolsons, Clarissa Falls, Cohune Palms, Yaxche, The Bluff, La Playa…among others…they can all decide to be participants in “Belizean Summer Happy Hour ALL day!”.

There are many thousands of Belizeans visiting places outside of Belize, especially during the summer…and some of these can be attracted to our resorts…having many untoward ripple effects in the economy…the many lay offs during the “summer” will not be necessary…a now reality that creates its own consequences for families and the economy. People continue to need to eat.

We can dampen this undesirable.

The BTIA local branch could quickly poll the resort managers to determine viability of such a game shifting decision.

If there is corum in such consultation; organization, action, promotion and results can be immediate. Why can it not be countrywide?

Belizeans who will be attracted to this offer know the standard of behavior and decorum with which to conduct themselves.

I have travelled many places with my kids…and we have left as little footprints as possible…we can always go back.

There are many more Belizeans like me.

Lets together dampen the “summer months” undesirable phenomenon…bring an end to its total unpredictability and insecurity of its effects on persons, families and the general economy.
