BREAKING: Santa Elena woman is Belize’s latest murder victim

By BBN Staff: A 58 year old woman residing on Perez Street in Santa Elena is Belize’s latest murder victim. She is identified as Mirna Young and she was shot earlier tonight along with Angel Martinez, 21. The men arrived at the home of David Young around 8:30 pm. and one of the men fired numerous shots hitting Mirna Young in the chest and Angel Martinez in the back.

Mirna Young is the mother of Jorge Galindo who was charged for the murder of Nelson ‘Quacky’ Flores which occurred on August 25th 2019.

Both Young and Martinez were rushed to the San Ignacio Hospital but Mirna Young died a short while ago while undergoing treatment.

Martinez was shot to the back and is currently being transported to the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan for more intensive care.
