Man killed on Welch street identified

By BBN Staff: The man killed on Welch street earlier tonight has been identified as Giovanni Lennan.

Residents in the area reported hearing multiple shots. Lennan reportedly died on the scene.

Lennan worked as a fireman and previously played in the National Elite Basketball League with Western Ballaz team.

BBN had previously reported that police apprehended a suspect believed to be the shooter in the immediate area following the incident.
