Fifth annual National Entrepreneurship Convention coming to Belize City

By BBN Staff: On Friday November 29th, the Belize Trade & Investment Development Services (BELTRAIDE) through its Small Business Development Center, Belize (SBDCBelize) unit will be hosting the 5th Annual National Entrepreneurship Convention (EntreCon).

EntreCon 2019 will be held at the Best Western Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel under the theme under the theme “Engage, Exchange, Empower.”

The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and will be followed by a Networking Mixer at 4:30 p.m.

“Since its inception, EntreCon which was designed to bring key stakeholders and experts from our international, national and local entrepreneurial ecosystem has welcomed over 1,000 participants to share knowledge, best practices, and expertise. The event promotes an entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports engagement, exchange and empowerment in the ever-changing globalized market place,” BELTRAIDE said today.

EntreCon 2019 will feature panel discussions as well as keynote remarks by Dr. Marcia Brandon, Chief Entrepreneurship Expert/Founder Caribbean Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Livelihoods (CoESL).
The event will also house an expo, showcasing local businesses and will be the platform for the announcement of the seed capital winners from the 4-month long Female Entrepreneurship Program.

BELTAIDE will also be announcing the winner of the Galen Scholarship Text Competition, a collaborative event between Digi, Galen University and BELTRAIDE to give the winner a scholarship valued at $30,000 to pursue a degree of their choice.
