Sports Council organizes motorcade for 2019 U-18 Central American sub-champs

By BBN Staff: The National Sports Council has organized a motorcade for the 2019 U-18 Central American Championship Silver Medalists.

Deputy Prime Minister, Patrick Faber extended congratulations to Belize’s U18 Female Volleyball Team on winning the Silver Medal at the U18 Central American Female Volleyball Championship in San Carlos, Costa Rica.

The players who won individual awards were also congratulated:

Gareth Bruce – Best Scorer and Best Attacker

Sofia Solano – Best Libero and Best Defensive Player Iman Safa – Best Setter

Olivia McKenzie – Best Blocker

Jayda Smith – Best Receiver

A motorcade will be held in honor of Team Belize. The motorcade will begin at 3:30 pm today at the Marion Jones Stadium.

Everyone is invited to join in celebrating our Belizean athletes.

The route is as follows:

Marion Jones Sports Complex down Princess Margaret Drive over BelChina Bridge unto Central American Boulevard left unto Cemetery Road right unto Albert Street then unto to Yarborough Road into Caesar Ridge Road right back unto Central American Boulevard over BelChina Bridge unto Princess Margaret Drive and back to the Marion Jones Sports Complex.

The National Sports Council says that it is proud of the success of the Belize Female Volleyball U18 Team.
