The strongest have been decided: Belize Strong Man/Woman competition held in Ladyville

Posted: Monday, November 25, 2019. 9:41 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The results are in for the 2019 Belize Strong Man/Woman Competition hosted by the Belize Body Building and Fitness Federation (BBBFF).

Contestants battled for the title at the Ladyville Basketball Court beside the Community Center on Poinsetta Street. The female contestants competed in the Bench Press, Squats, Dead Lift, and Tire Flip Events. The male contestants had the same lineup; however, they also had the Farmer’s Walk and Vehicle Pull events. This year the vehicle pulled by the athletes was a full-size bus from Serrano’s Bus
Company.

Of the five males that competed, Kaylon Godoy, from Power House Studio in Belmopan took the competition by storm, placing first in all the events. Of the three females that competed, Mary Gonzalez representing

San Pedro Barbell placed first. The event marks the fourth year that the BBBFF has hosted the competition. The event lived up the federation’s promise, as all previously held records for every event were broken, setting the bar even higher for next year’s competition.
