Richard Smith is Belize’s latest murder victim

By BBN Staff: Last night Breaking Belize News (BBN) broke the story that a man was murdered near his home in Hattieville. We knew the identity of victim but we withheld his name until we received confirmation from the police.

Tonight we confirm that the victim is Richard Smith, 26, and he is Belize’s latest murder victim.

Reports indicate that on Friday night, Smith was at a shop in the New Site area of Hattieville then he left to go home. He had almost reached home when he was shot and killed.

Smith was rushed to the Karl Heusner Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are investigating.
