Fake cops assault couple and kill their horse in Cayo

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating a report of an armed robbery that occurred this morning on the road to lower Barton Creek in the Cayo District.

According to reports, Peter Lowen told police that he and his wife were traveling on their horse and cart when they were stopped by 2 Creole men dressed in police uniforms.

The 2 men had on khaki shirts and blue pants and were riding a motorcycle. They were also armed with firearms.

The men robbed Lowen and shot and killed his horse.

The men also knocked Lowen on his head with a gun.

The culprits then escaped.

Police are investigating.
