Three armed culprits hijack Benque Viejo resident at his farm

By BBN Staff: Benque Viejo resident, fifty-six-year-old Alvaro Gongora told police that on Thursday, December 5, he and his two employees left his home en-route to his farm on the Arenal road.

Gongora says that at about 8:30 a.m. he heard someone shout “Don’t move.” When he turned toward the person he saw a man dressed in a camouflage pants and a rag covering half his face.

The man was pointing a gun at Gongora.

The man then approached Gongora along with tw  other men who were also armed.

The culprits demanded the key to Gongora’s truck and then escaped in the vehicle.

The pickup truck is valued at $12,000.

Police are investigating.
