NEMO assists victims of New Year’s fire in Cotton Tree Village

By BBN Staff: The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) has provided humanitarian assistance to victims of a fire which occurred in Cotton Tree Village on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2020.

On January 2, NEMO personnel delivered the relief supplies to members of two extended families, Linarez-Perez and Santos-Somoza, a total of eleven people, including men, women and children, who lost all their belongings in the fire. 

Minister of National Emergency Management, Edmond Castro and NEMO Humanitarian Officer, Alfonso Casey were present for the delivery of items.

The house, which was totally destroyed by the New Year’s Day blaze was a cement bungalow structure.
