Moist and unstable conditions expected today

According to the latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize, a gradual increase in moist and unstable conditions is expected to set in today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies with isolated showers or periods of light rain occurring mostly offshore and over southern
areas this morning, increasing over most places this afternoon along with isolated thunderstorms tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 84 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 72 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 74 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 70 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 61 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing Northeast between 10-20 knots and the sea state will be moderate to rough. A small craft caution is in effect for occasionally rough seas.

There will be a high tide at 9:04 a.m. and a low tide at 1:52 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:33 p.m. and the moon will rise at 3:45 a.m.
