Cool and dry weather expected today

By BBN Staff: The latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that a cool and mostly dry northerly airflow will prevail during the next 24 hours.

The 24-hour forecast calls for variably cloudy and cool with little or no rainfall, except for a few showers continuing mostly beyond the reef this morning.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 76 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 66 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 62 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 56 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing North-Northwest between 10-20 knots and the sea state will be moderate to rough. There is a small craft caution for occasional gusty winds and rough seas.

High tide began at 8:27 a.m. and there will be low tide at 1:01 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:41 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 4:31 a.m.
