PUP endorses businessman, Jorge Espat for Cayo West standard bearer

By BBN Staff: On Sunday, Janury 26, the People’s United Party (PUP) formally endorsed candidate and Belizean businessman, Jorge Espat for the Cayo West constituency.

The endorsement was attended by PUP Party Leader, John Briceno and other party dignitaries and supporters.

The Benque Viejo native is the son of Jorge Espat and Nellie Espat Hegar. Espat attended primary school at Mount Carmel primary. Espat is also specialized in Business Engineering.

In 1995, his dad passed away and Jorge took over their family’s business, the largest fuel trucking company in Belize.

With his background in service stations, Espat later opened a new business which he presently operates, Puma Jennells Truck Stop located at 5 1/2 George Price Highway, Belize City.

The successful entrepreneur says that he hopes to bring about positive change for the residents of Cayo West.

Espat will go up against current and undefeated UDP Area Representative, Erwin Contreras.
